The new kindergarten is located in the "Tsvetnoy" quarter of Novaya Borovaya. It is designed for 230 children ─ 12 groups, depending on the age of the pupils. The kindergarten "Karandashi" was built by the same project plan as the kindergarten in Pirs. They share the same planning solutions and infrastructure.

There is a modern assembly hall and a sports hall with a wall for little climbers, psychologist and speech therapist offices.

On the street, there are installed playgrounds with wooden shaded canopies, rubberized safety surfaces, mini-gardens where children can grow vegetables or herbs, a special area for chalk drawing, a platform for studying traffic rules, swings, sandboxes and much more.

Kindergarten’s concept "Karandashi" is a box of pencils. This idea is reflected in the exterior of the building and its interiors. Its facade is a bright, multi-coloured construction that mimics a set of pencils. The entrance is decorated with two trees ─ white and red ─ designed in the style of children's drawings.

This style is also traced in classrooms: the graphics on the walls are designed in the manner of children's pencil drawings. Colour blocking is made with clean, vibrant colours like red, yellow, blue and green. It also symbolizes the transition from group to group ─ from the younger to the elder.

Bright sculptures, cars, colour accents are used in the landscaping. The entire territory of the kindergarten is gated, and the entrances equipped with special video intercoms are located in several spots.
